Year 2040. Ecosystem has collapsed, the oxygen level is too low in the majority of the planet... Humankind can now only live in man-made ecosystems which are called “The Domes”. Under one of these great domes people are working on a “new matter” which can bring natural life back to the planet. “The Dome Block A”, is a mixed use architecture which is sheltering different functions such as the main laboratory, residential units, offices, gathering points and a food court. All these components of the architectural program require different environmental needs. “The Dome Block A” offers a continuous spatial experience while creating adjacent spaces which are visually and physically connected to each other, controlling the level of privacy according to the function and follows a continuous aesthetic throughout the space.
